Daring to Hope

Daring to Hope
By Katie Davis Majors
Publisher: Multnomah
Genre: General nonfiction
Release Date: 10/03/17

Following her bestselling Kisses From Katie, Davis Majors’ second book is just as incredible. For the past decade, she has lived in Uganda, adopted 13 girls, and unselfishly served the poor community she calls home.

Compared to her first book, which is more autobiographical, Daring to Hope is inspirational as it focuses on a handful of events that drove her to her knees as she wrestled with God. She reveals how she struggled with questioning God even though she had been a Christian for many years.

Several tragedies led the author to cry out in her pain as she tried to understand His reasons for allowing suffering.

She doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but does encourage readers that hard times are where we meet with Jesus intimately, reminding us that He is faithful regardless and to never lose faith in Him.
