Jason Crabb to Bring New Music to UNITE 2018

Dove Award recipient Jason Crabb will bring his Grammy-winning vocals to UNITE 2018. Crabb recorded and toured with his family for years before embarking on a solo career in 2009. His latest project, Unexpected (Daywind), released in April; and the Kentucky-born singer and songwriter is looking forward to sharing new music with retailers.

“Any chance I get to join together and visit with others who are actively spreading the good news of the saving power of Jesus Christ is a great time. I’m always going to say ‘yes’ to that,” he shares. “I am honored to be a part of UNITE 2018.”

Produced by Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus, Unexpected features guest vocals from Flatts’ lead singer Gary LeVox and pop star Kaya Jones. In addition, Crabb also penned a new song with Gloria Gaynor of “I Will Survive” fame.

While Crabb, his wife, Shellye, and their two daughters reside right outside of Nashville, Crabb tours the country often. He admits he enjoys popping into Christian retail stores unannounced—especially on his street date—to watch people’s reactions as they purchase his new record.

“There’s nothing like walking into a physical store, picking up an item, and holding it in your hands. Nothing will replace that—no matter what changes the industry encounters,” Crabb contends. “When you walk into a Christian retail store, you are literally walking into a community. From the manager and sales associates to the customers, you know you are with people who believe like you do, and you just get a warm feeling being with likeminded people. It really can be a welcome respite from the rest of the world—if only for a few minutes.”
