Discovery House, the exclusive North American publisher of My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers, is celebrating the life of Chambers with the release of several new titles this fall, as well as limited editions of his most-loved work.
My Utmost for His Highest, in both its beloved classic edition and its updated-language version, are available as limited editions. While the content of the series hasn’t changed, the updated look makes it fresh and more attractive for a younger generation.
Miranda Garnder, executive editor at Discovery House Publishers, recommends retailers tell customers who may already have the original version that “gift giving will probably be the primary use for the new product line.”
Released alongside the limited editions is Utmost Ongoing, a collection of testimonials by contemporary Christian figures, including Joni Erickson Tada and 9/11 survivor Alan Personius.
“The point of Utmost Ongoing is for the contributors to share about Chambers’ impact on their lives,” says Garnder. “Overall, the stories talk about how My Utmost for His Highest gave them new insights into their relationship with God, helped them through tough seasons, or challenged them at just the right moment leading to a deeper understanding of faith.”
Following these releases, author Paul Kent offers Oswald Chambers: A Life in Pictures, a keepsake coffee table book, and Word Records is releasing My Utmost for His Highest (Word), an album featuring songs inspired by the book by such recording artists as For King and Country, Blanca, and Big Daddy Weave.
